Creative ways on how to store your makeup brushes.

 1. Use a Candy Jar and fill it with some small stones or sand and just stick all your brushes in. You can even put back the lid to keep away from dust.

2. Use a simple Glass Jar and fill in with pebbles and label it according to the function of the brush.

3. Chopstick holder can be turned into the place to store your brushes too.

4. Pencil Holder can be used as a little small bucket to store your brushes.

5. Turn your unwanted cups into your cute little brushes storage place.

6. Use simple zipped pencil case to put your brushes is also another brilliant idea. This is easy for you to carry it anywhere too.

7. On a piece of wood in your house , put some double sided tape and then stick your brushes on it 

5 simple Steps for Quick Make Up to work

What is the quickest way for one to do to create simple makeup to work? Cause that few minutes of sleep is so precious?
Step 1
Put on your daily skin moisturizer as per normal. Put on light face powder if your skin moisturizer is too oily
Step 2
Draw eyeliner with eyeliner pencil – Simple one line will do (Thickness will be dependent on your own style but suggestion is not too thick)
Step 3
Draw your eye brow – use dark brownish colour. Make it as natural as possible
Step 4
Put on lipstick – can refer to my previous entry of blog
Step 5
Put on blusher if you want to  but that will add some glow to your face.
And VOILA you are done!!!!

Lipstick to work? Yes or No?

Should one wear lipstick to work? What colour is appropriate to wear to work? Do you ever come across such questions? Well, it all really depends on the color of your choice and also the job you have! Lipsticks will brighten up one’s face and also bring the fresh look to one. If you are a professional, it's important to look good for your job.
Some NO NO for lipstick wearing to work:
1. Meeting a client with wet red lips at in the morning is not going to give that client a good first impression.
2. If you see someone looking at your lips all the time chances are you picked the wrong lipstick which either is too strong a colour or totally wrong colour for that particular meeting.
Some simple tips:
1. Pick a light or neutral shade such as a pale pink, some light coral colours or even clear for your workplace will be the safest colour to pick and will never go wrong. Also make sure the lipstick is matte or with mild shine. You do want a too shiny one which people always focus on.
2. If you are someone who don’t buy lipstick, you can go with clear lip balm or even Vaseline . Besides keeping your lips moist and far away from cracks, it also helps to make you looks better

My make up purchases are here!!

Finally my Urban Decay Naked Pallette is here. Wow... the colours are awesome. Will try out some of the colours this weekend and will post some of the ways to combined those colours.

On top of that, I also bought Urban Decay Books of Shadows Vol 3. I fell in love with the shades of greens. Some might not like green as eye-shadows but believe me based on experience with many customers, green can do wonders depending on how you used it. I also love the purple shades. Wait for more updates after I play around with the colours.

MAC Eye Brow Pencil

I love this Eye Brow Pencil. It is MAC Brunette Eye Brow Pencil. I have been using it for all my clients and so far everyone is loving it. Besides that it goes well with most light skin colour. The eye brow looks very natural thus makes everyone fall in love with it. It is easy to use as you need to just twist it to get the  length of eyebrow pencil you need to appear. But take note, if you twisted more than you need you cannot retract the length that is already out :)

Just a little note from me!

My name is Elaine Lee. I am a freelance make-up artist cum wedding planner.

Why become a make-up artist? I have been wanting to join the world of creativity since young. From wanting to be a fashion designer to interior designer to artist to make-up artist. I even once wanted to be a fashion consultant :P

Well... after much determination and working in the world of IT for about 3 to 4 years I decided to pursue one of my dreams and started to take make-up course from personal to bridal to professional. And now I am ready :)

After learning and attending the make-up course, I noticed and realised that the joy of making someone pretty and happy is indeed very satisfiying. I started of with my group of close friends and looking at their pretty and happy faces gives me a lot of happiness. :)

Indeed I have taken the right first step.
